Social Responsibility and Ethics
Making an effective, equitable and ethical commitment
Building responsible and sustainable practices through ethical engagement and collective action
This workshop offers a transformative learning experience designed for professionals, public sector organizations, businesses, and individuals dedicated to socially engaged practice. This workshop starts from the premise that ethical responsibility is not just a professional obligation but a commitment to developing equitable and just communities.
The workshop will explore the interconnectedness of social responsibility and ethics, encouraging participants to examine the impact of their decisions on society. Through interactive sessions, participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own values, the ethical dimensions of their professional roles, and the broader social implications of their actions.
Central to this workshop is the concept of praxis — combining reflection and action in the pursuit of social justice. Participants will engage in discussions and activities that challenge them to think beyond traditional business ethics frameworks, considering the systemic inequalities and dynamics of power that influence ethical decision-making. The workshop will also provide tools and strategies for implementing socially responsible practices in various professional settings. Participants will learn how to navigate complex ethical dilemmas, build inclusive and equitable work environments, and develop policies that reflect a commitment to social justice.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of the ethical responsibilities they hold and the skills to enact meaningful change within their organizations and communities.
